The Honda 150 European Championship is the junior support class to the FIM Motocross World Championship.
As part of Honda’s global programme to support young racing talent the series provides the best 11 to 14 year-old Motocross racers from around the world with the opportunity to showcase their talent at an international level, and to develop the four-stroke riding skills essential for a career in modern Motocross racing. The Championship is run in association with the FIM Europe and will take place at five rounds of the 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship.
The package offered by Honda includes use of the latest model Honda CRF150R, transportation of the motorcycle to the races, technical and coaching support, fuel, tyres, tools, hospitality area and workstations. All each rider has to do is arrive at the circuit with a mechanic helper, arrange their own accommodation, and race! Also part of the package is the official Honda EMX 150 team wear including 3 sets of custom AXO riding gear (pants/jersey/gloves) and one set of AXO boots. The entry fee for 2017 is priced at only Euro 2300 for the full season, including VAT.
All the bikes are completely identical and strictly controlled, meaning fair and equal racing in which the best rider on the day will win, and as an official support series to the FIM Motocross World Championship the safety standards and medical support are of the highest level possible.
The competitors will be chosen by Honda and will be selected based on their achievements, potential for the future, age and nationality. All the selected riders will take part in a special training Academy before the season, which will test physical fitness and mental aptitude to assist in preparation for the races.
